Which products are exempt from the deposit system?

The deposit covers all sealed or mostly sealed single-use drinks containers made of plastic or metal with a filling capacity of 0.1 to 3 litres. 

Exempt are:

• Drink multi-packs
• Glass bottles
• Drink bottles for supplements and liquid foods that are intended and used for special medical purposes
• Drinks made from milk and milk-based products (minimum 51% milk content)

There is no deposit on syrups either; although these are drinks in the broadest sense, they are not intended for direct consumption.
