Both single-use drinks containers and multi-use drinks containers can be returned at the reverse vending machines provided in the retail environment.

The deposit amount varies: for single-use drinks containers, a standard 25-cent deposit applies; the deposit on multi-use bottles depends on the container.

In addition to the reverse vending machines in the retail environment, single-use drinks containers can also be returned to the outlets where the products are sold, which includes (online) delivery services. Excluded from the possibility of direct return are drinks vending machines or if the drinks are delivered by a post or parcel delivery company or a forwarding agent.

Single-use products subject to the deposit are labelled with a standardised deposit logo.
